GUA MUSANG: The administration of Prime Minister Najib Razak has brought much more development to Kelantan compared to the era of  Dr Mahathir Mohamad, said Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar  Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah.

Mohd Amar, who is also PAS vice-president, said this was because of the cordial relations between the state government led by PAS and the Federal government led by the Barisan Nasional (BN) now despite the differences in ideology between both parties.

“The current situation is very much different from the time when Mahathir led the country. He was then seen as ignoring Kelantan in the aspect of development because of political differences.

“However, everything changed under Najib’s leadership (which did not leave out Kelantan) because many changes (especially in the aspect of development) had taken place in Kelantan currently,” he said.

He disclosed this to reporters after the launching of the Eucalyptus Tree Study Area at the Beris Forest Reserve, Lojing.
